Usually, a group has its "tools" for implementing violence, which serve as “physical evidence” of abusive actions. In the view of the French historian Pascal Ory, who studied the connection between violence and initiation, initiation has existed since ancient times and is reproduced by social groups themselves. According to the historian, the mechanisms underlying role assignment common for school and army are similar to the rules of a gang or the customs of a tribe.
